38 week update
I had my 38 week update today. Everything is going great still. I have progressed a little more and am now about a 3. The doctor has set up an induction date!!! I will go in May 6 at 7:00 to start the induction. My doctor doesn't really think I will make it that long seeing as how I am already so progressed. But he doesn't want me to risk going much further since I tend to have fast labors. I feel much more secure knowing that there is a plan and hopefully I won't have to make a flying trip to Round Rock. The funny thing about that date is that it is also my grandmothers and my brother in laws birthday. They will just have to learn to share :) I am sure in the next week we will be on with more pictures and updates. It may be slow at first, but bear with me...I will get them up when I can!

37 week update
Today I had my 37 week update. I told Dr.F that I had some bad contractions earlier this week. He is very concerned about how fast labor will go this time (Steph's was 3 hours from induction) so he told me not to wait next time I have any contractions that I can time. He would rather send me home from the hospital than me have the baby on the way there since we live an hour away. After my little lecture he checked my cervix again. I am between a 2 and a 3 but am a lot softer and more thinned out than last week. So I guess that is what the contractions were taking care of. My blood pressure was great, 110/70 and Blakes heartrate was steady and sounded great. Dr. F doesn't seem to think I will make it to my due date, but as everyone knows, there really is no telling what could happen. My next appointment is on the 30th. My Mother-In-Law is having a small breakdown since she will be out of town all next week and is just SURE I will have him while she is gone. I hope not, but there will be nothing I can do about it if Blake decides to be a stinker :) I will update again soon!

Doctors appointment update and visitors
I had my 36 week visit on Thursday. After getting in with a new doctor since mine was stuck in surgery, I was told everything looks great. I had the Group B Strep test done and she checked my cervix for any progress since I have been having some painful contractions and she could feel that Blake had dropped pretty low. I am 2 cm dilated already!!! She said she could feel the top of his head too! I also got to listen to his heartbeat again..that never gets old. It was beating away at 160bpm. I did ask her about the possibility of delivering early and she said that he could come early or he could stay put for a few more weeks. We will just have to wait and see. I now go every week to get checked and keep a closer eye on my progress.
My dad and step-mom also came up this weekend to spend time with us and Stephanie. It was great to see them and Steph enjoyed every minute of them being here. Of course like all grandparents, they spoiled her and Blake rotten. Both of their wardrobes were greatly expanded :) We look forward to seeing them and everyone else again in a few weeks when Blake makes his appearance.

Update coming soon!
I know I kinda left ya hanging without a finish to our Easter weekend. I left the camera in Bradleys truck so I don't have any pictures to share. When I can remember to get it out of his truck there will be a post full of Stephanie pictures.
Tomorrow I go for my 36 week appointment..I will update on that when I get back. It should be pretty uneventful...but ya never know! Come back in the next few days to catch up on all the fun times in the Widner household!

Easter Festivites Part 1
Today Stephanie and I had a blast dying Easter Eggs. She has been asking to color eggs for a few days so we took the time to do so today. She had a blast and loved every minute of it. She insisted that there was a "Steph" egg and a "Daddy" egg. And the "Daddy" egg had to be green, cause that is daddy's favorite color LOL. Now she is super excited for the Easter Bunny to come and hide them so she can find them and put them in her basket :)

Real cute chicks!
Aunt Cindy, Scott and Grant brought some really cute chicks to see Stephanie tonight. She LOVED them! She got to hold them and cuddle them! She really wanted to keep one, but we talked her into letting them go live in the country where we could visit them another day. (AKA Scott and Grants Mamaw's house)
Just Moms Meet-up at the Waco Zoo
This last Sunday Stephanie and I went to the Waco zoo with two other moms from the message board I used to be a part of. One of the mom/daughter duos was our good friends Amber and Adelyn who we see on a regular basis. We also met Suzanne and her daughter Jillian. Along with them, we also met Rick and Jake, Jillians daddy and little brother. We had a great time and the girls seemed to have a blast. They got to see lots of animals and it was so cute watching them run around together and explore. All three of them had their pigtails in. They chattered up a storm and shared many hugs with each other. We were there for around 4 hours and all the girls did great. When we left it was less than 5 minutes before Stephanie and Adelyn were asleep in the car. All that walking and fun just wore them out. :) We will have to all meet up again I am sure!

Baby Sprinkle
First I should probably explain what that is for those who have never heard of a sprinkle. Instead of a full out shower for a second (or more) time mother, it is becoming common to have what is called a sprinkle. It is like a shower, but on a much smaller scale.
That being said, Amber T. threw me a sprinkle yesterday and it was sooo much fun. Some good friends and family showed up and I think we all had fun. Blake recieved a lot of stuff he will get to enjoy once he arrives. The funniest thing is that he got 3, yes 3, bathtubs. He will be the cleanest baby in town :) I am waiting on a friend to email me some of the pics that she took, as I couldn't take many myself, being the center of attention and all :) But when I get them I will post them here.
Amber was an awesome hostess and did a great job pulling it all together. I cannot thank her enough for all that she did yesterday! Now I get to return the favor for her in June/July before her new little one gets here at the end of August! I just hope I can do as good a job as she did with a newborn to help me out :) Thanks again girl! Love ya!!

Steph had a GREAT learning experience tonight!!
Tonight Stephanie and her daddy were playing outside after dinner. I had come inside to sit down and rest my back. Stephanie came back inside screaming she found a caterpillar. Following her was her daddy holding a piece of wood. On the wood was the caterpillar Stephanie had found. She was soooo excited and happy to show it off. She really wanted to keep it, but after some convincing she decided it would be cool to take it back outside so that it could become a butterfly. She was so cute watching it. As soon as they got it back outside she expected it to just turn into a butterfly LOL. Her daddy explained to her that it had to make a cocoon and then it would turn into a butterfly later. It was so neat to watch her have such a great learning experience all on her own. Just another reason why I am loving this age right now.
Now if only I would have had the camera near by...but nope...Mamma didn't get any pictures of her with her first collected animal :(

Update on Blake
I had my 34 week checkup on Blake today. He is measuring right on and is head down!!! I have been having some pretty painful Braxton Hicks (practice) contractions lately and asked about those, but he said that at this point if I were to go into labor they probably wouldn't stop it. So all in all it was a great appointment and there is no turning back now LOL. We are putting the finishing touches together and will be gathering all the last minute supplies over the next few weeks.
I have my baby sprinkle this weekend and look forward to it! It will be great to get out of the house and spend some grown-up time with some of my closest friends and family. I will post about that more after the weekend.
